4M go to Swell Sculpture Display

16/09/2016
On Tuesday 13 September Year 4M, 4P and 4B went to the Swell Festival at Currumbin. We saw some amazing creative sculptures. The pyramid sculpture was made out of over 1700 Gold Coast Bakery bread crates and 5000 cable ties. You could walk inside the pyramid and immediately you felt cooler.

Sandy the dog walker was walking 19 dogs of different varieties like the lhasa apso, border collie, poodle, pug, beagle, dalmation and sausage dog.

Some other favourites were the Ants on Currumbin Rock, the colourful Save Our Seabed, the 5 metre tall inflatable turtle and the Wind in the Wheelos where the wheels went round and round.

It was quite tiring walking along the beach but it was worth it.

After lunch some of us ate an ice-cream. Some had an ice-cream with sherbet, chocolate top, sprinkles or a flake as topping.

After we finished lunch and the ice-creams we walked back to the Nippers Surf Club. We used a variety of recycled materials to create our own unique animals that had not yet been discovered.  It was an exhausting day but it was really fun.
