ANZAC Centenary Exhibition

On Friday 20th June, a small group of 8 senior students were invited to attend the travelling exhibition, the ‘Spirit of the ANZAC Centenary Experience’ at the Brisbane Convention Centre.  Upon our arrival, we were presented with our own personal audio guides, which served the purpose of leading us through the different sections of the exhibition.  We were able to progress through at our own pace, learning all about Australia’s involvement in the First World War and all other wars and peacekeeping missions in which Australian soldiers have been involved over the past century.  We even got to experience seeing the inside of an authentic military truck.  Many of the items and images we saw, and stories we heard, opened our eyes and made us even more proud of those who have fought so hard for our country.  Such a worthwhile experience for us all!
