2014 Caningeraba Food Drive

Volunteer team of helpers.

Caningeraba Food Drive

Wow, what an overwhelming response from families within the
Caningeraba State School community. As students and parents brought in the food from the classrooms to the central packaging room, it didn’t take long to see what an amazing effort the school community had put in.
I am pleased to announce that this year we collected enough food for 110 food hampers to support families in our community.
A huge thank you to the teaching staff throughout the school who put in a top effort during a very busy time of year. Also the number of parents who came and volunteered during the
collecting and packaging was very encouraging. Without them I would still be packaging food now!
It’s also time to announce that the winner of the pizza party for the class that brought in the most items…and the winner is 5B!!!! Congratulations to Miss Snowball and her class for a magnificent effort. It was a very close competition and special mention must go to 5S, 5P and 2M who were all very close behind.
A very special thank you to Riley Pavey from 7M who did an exceptional job as the manager of collections and packaging. Everything ran very smoothly on the day.
If you could benefit from receiving a Christmas hamper or know of someone who could use the help please contact myself at the school on 55 686 333.
Warm regards and Merry Christmas,
Chappy Josh
