On arrival we roamed around the foyer and saw probes and
spaceships. We answered questions about
the universe. Next we entered the Sky
Dome where we flew through space using virtual reality technology. Here we learnt how small we are compared to
the universe and that Jupiter is hot enough to be a second sun.
Then we saw the
natural beauty of the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens. While we were there we ventured into the
Green House and saw the tropical rainforest plants. Also, most of us saw the art of Bonsai trees
for the first time.
Year 5 loved this fantastic opportunity to learn more about
space at the Planetarium.
